About
Like a cliche, "Omotayo" first found music in the church. Music was and still is his first love. He plays the guitar and has limited knowledge of the piano at the moment.His love for music took a major course when in the year 2004, he formed a music duo with Oyindamola called "o2" while at the university of Ilorin where he studied English Arts. The duo performed at shows and created quite a reputation while at the university. The group came to a screeching halt just after his NYSC in 2009.
On a hot boring Tuesday afternoon in February 2010, he realized how
he had slowly been watching his dream drive by like a pimp in a ride with
hydraulics; Omotayo suddenly decided to go solo. This gave birth to his
first single “since shiz gone” which was an experiment and was never released. The song raised
honest heads and brows.
On a quest for good music production, he met and worked with one
of naija’s finest young producers WazBeat. Given his reputation for
doing justice to Faze’s “Originality”, “Am in love” etc, he went into his
studio and produced Omotayo's first ever acoustically composed song
– “All of a sudden”. Also a photographer and film maker, He recently shot a video flick of a nu single "baby's gone",
just for the fun of it. Omotayo was recently signed under just merged labels, slickcity and cliq records.
Omotayo is musically versatile and deep in words. He has a highly
heightened sense of humour which reflects in his music. Omotayo
believes he has a lot to offer the world now and tomorrow. He also
believes that music should be flexible in genre and sees it as aspontaneous overflow of any feeling whatsoever. High or low, slow
or fast, weird and plain, archaic or simple, “music is music. It’s every
artiste’s poetry”

Alright! i am the first to comment...Apart from being a really good singer/musician, omotayoh is a guy with many yet hidden talents. Really creative, not afraid to laff at himself, really simple and down to earth. Not forgetting he can be quite selfless too..how do i know so much? common, "we have teyed!" LOL!!! nuff said, zooming off now,to where i have been banished...(a no go forget)
